030. A Political Post (RARE!)

Early on I made promise that I would never blog about civil rights or gay rights or any rights at all. I stated I would never make a post about poverty, and yet there is one sitting in my drafts, waiting to be finished. I swore there would never be a politics tag on my blog for one simple reason: I have learning comprehension issues and there is a huge chance I will come off looking like an asshole when I’m not trying to be.

 

Then, on June 26th, 2015, the United States of America legalised same-sex marriage in the remaining 14 states that previously issued a ban on same-sex marriage. Now – legally – same-sex partners can be married in all 50 states.
